Could Rajon Rondo be headed for royalty soon? Ironically, this piece is not about the daughter of a celebrity, but rather the branching out of a franchise. The Sacramento Kings have become the apple of Rondo’s eye after multiple clashes with Dallas Mavericks coach, Rick Carlisle, last season.
Rajon still holds a ton of stock in himself. Even after the bad blood and poor play, $10 million is a steep asking price for the 29-year old. However, it is less than the $12.9 million that was offered by the Mavericks last season.
The Kings aren’t currently without their own drama. There are rumors that the Sacramento owner has been making strides to fire Coach George Karl due to whisperings of plans to trade DeMarcus Cousins.
Still, this deal would be a bit shaky for the Kings if it did come to fruition. Rondo would be utilizing all of their cap space with his monetary standard. After viewing his performance from last season, would they be willing to make that leap? The NBA cycle just keeps on spinning.
