Florida Gulf Coast rode a wave of victory into the Atlantic Sun Finals NCAA tournament on Wednesday. The game unfolded into a blow out with a final score of 62-42. Jacksonville came into the game the favorite, holding the number 4 spot in rankings. However, Jenna Cobbs may have been a bit too much for them, scoring 20 points to lead the FGCU team. She also contributed six rebounds and four steals to the win.
FGCU went on a 14-2 run during the first portion of the game and it was all down-hill for Jacksonville after this point. Briona Brown did her best to bring Jacksonville back into the game with 14 points, followed by Sherranda Reddick with 10 points, and Kayla Gordon adding 10 rebounds.
