MISSED A SCORE?

Are the Los Angeles Clippers Only Putting on A Show?

Do you ever find yourself pondering on the fact that no matter how many vital assets are recruited and produced for the Los Angeles Clippers, they still never acquire monumental success within the playoffs? We reviewed an article from the Bleacher Report that questioned the emotional state of the Clippers as a whole. However, poise can only limit you to a certain extent. Somewhere along the lines, you have to begin analyzing what’s fact and what’s fiction.

The first analytical fact is that the Clipper should never have been forced into a Game 7 debacle. The team held a 19-point deficit over the Houston Rockets in Game 6 that somehow dwindled away in one quarter. This fact is even more bothersome when you add in the fact that they were playing on their home court.

So, can we infer that the Clippers will only be good for “lobs”, globetrotter-esque passes, and entertainment? Will they ever make it past the second round of the playoffs? After the Clippers ousted the defending champions out of the playoff battle in the first round, things looked promising. However, this victory was shrouded in defeat once again.

In the end, you can blame a lack of professionalism, as the Bleacher Report insinuates, or the talent of the players. Regardless, the clear fact remains that in the NBA Playoffs, you win or go home. Until something vital transpires, the Clippers will continue going home.
