Up the Creek Without a Paddle?

All the cards are on the table in the Heat vs. Pacers series. Each team has shown their hand and the other has, at one point in time, capitalized on it. Although the stats favored Indiana to win in the previous three games (leading approximately 99 out of 144 minutes of play so far), they have still managed to falter against the Heat, making the series 2-1.

Many want to contribute the Pacers' loss Saturday to the Heat's bench points, with Ray Allen scoring 16 points in the second half. However, others aren't so convinced. The out-paced, Pacers could simply blame the Game 3 loss on turnovers. One can agree that unlike free-throws, turnovers do not win ball games, especially against a team like the Heat.

There is no clear-cut better team here. With all jaunting and visual epithets aside, this series will come down to one thing: Who wants it more? Sure, you must incorporate shooting percentages, defensive aspects, and ball handling efficiency into this equation. But without the heart to win, both of these teams are simply up the creek without a paddle.

We want to hear from you. Let us know who you think will take this game below!

The San Antonio Spurs will host the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference finals. The Thunder have just been getting by throughout the finals. Can they muster up enough depth and courage to face the experience of the Spurs?

More bad news for the Thunder comes as they announce that Serge Ibaka will not be playing for the remainder of the playoffs. Could the Thunder have made it this far without him? Many think not. With Tim Duncan and Tony Parker inching in for the kill, we only hope that this series is as least entertaining. As always, we want to hear from you. We're almost at the end of the 1st quarter and the Heat are looking more like a cold drizzle. Paul and Hill are shooting lights out to go toe to toe with the struggling Heat. Most of the Heat's points are deriving from the sheer audacity of LeBron James to rush the ball into the paint. Can the Pacers hold them off? We're taking the Pacers in 6 for the series final. What do you think? Let us know below!

Tensions are building in Indiana as Wizard fans wait to see if their team has reached the end of the road. All eyes are on John Wall and the Wizards as they fight to come back from a 3-1 deficit. Even if the Wizards are able to establish a miracle, the next game will not guarantee a victory.

The Wizards hold an early lead in the first quarter. However, the explosive Indiana Pacers aren't going to take anything lying down. Will Paul George have another dynamic night accompanied by a more energized Roy Hibbert? Or will Nene and John Wall surprise us all? Sound off below!

Keeping Everything on Pace

We're well into the the fourth quarter of the Pacers vs. Wizards, so who do you have?
This series has taken serious twists and turns. With the competition tied 1-1, there couldn't be more at stake.

The Wizards have been the astonishment of the playoffs, practically sweeping Joakim Noah and the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls were only able to pull out one game against the Wizards before this round fell out of their grasp.

Currently John Wall and the Wizards are faltering under pressure. With the low scoring battle at 70-56 and 5:04 minute to go, this game is all but gift wrapped for the Pacers. Can they pull it out or do the Wizards have even more surprises in store? Let us know! Vote below!

Nothing But Net?

Read Now

So, we're at it once again. Second round, first playoff meeting for the Heat and the Brooklyn Nets. Will LeBron bulldoze his way into the paint as usual? Or will legends Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett produce nothing but "net" tonight? Either way, the excitement level looks promising. The Nets have established their dominance and their will to beat the Heat throughout the regular season. Surprisingly, the Heat's regular season face offs with the Nets often ended in defeat.

As the Nets attempt to decelerate the game for a slower offensive stand, we can only admire each of these teams. Joe Johnson has added his own distinct flair to the game sinking some much needed jumpers for the Nets, while LeBron has aimed to get all of his players engrossed in the game. His first quarter dish to Chalmers set the tone for his supporting players. With Deron Williams' lightening 3-point play leading us into the half, I wouldn't change that channel. Let us know what you think! Comment for your favorite team and let us know who will win and who is just on their way home.

Shaking in Round 2

After an embarrassing start to Round 2 against the less acclaimed Wizards, the Pacers rev up for a comeback in Indiana. Will this new fire be enough after being held to a 22% shooting percentage during the first quarter? Trevor Ariza is shooting lights out and have me wondering just where oh where have the Pacers gone?

The Pacers cannot wait until they are backed into a corner to come out swinging. These soft punches have us wondering. We have to know---who you got? Let us know!

Battle of the Texans

Was this a game or a small massacre? After all the exhilaration and fervor in the climax of the Brooklyn vs. Toronto game earlier today, we all thought the next and last Game 7 between the Mavs and the Spurs would be just as exciting. We had no such luck.

From the very start of the game, the drive of the Mavericks looked bleak, as Monte Ellis only accumulated 5-points the entire first half of game play. On the other side of the Texas plains, Tony Parker had a break out game scoring 32-points, while the Mavs sashayed into the playoffs with a 119-96 victory over the Mavs. Although Parker held his own, it seemed as the game went on, none of the Spurs could miss. Manu Ginobili scored 20-points and Danny Green added 16. The veteran, Tim Duncan, supplied 15-points to help seal this victorious deal.

The most influential players for the Mavs throughout their playoff run were Monte Ellis, Vince Carter, Devin Harris, and DeJuan Blair. Without these key players, the fight may have been over before it even began.

San Antonio will now be preparing to square off against the fiery Portland Trailblazers. How will their wisdom and experience match up against the vernal Trailblazers? Will they have time to re-cooperate from a tireless series? Only time will tell. Let us know what you think! All comments are welcome!

The Oklahoma City Thunder Strike The Grizzlies out of the Playoffs

Read Now

Picture
Were you scared? Were you frightened? This playoff series had every one on their toes, as the Memphis Grizzlies gave proven MVP Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder a run for their money.

OKC rallied to a galvanizing victory over the Grizzlies beating them 120-109 Saturday night. Some would like to blame this victory on Zach Randolph's absence from the roaring Grizzlies team, making them vulnerable to the detailed offense of the Thunder. However, it appears that a veil was lifted from the eyes of a dragon as the Thunder fought with all they had to stay above water.

The win could most likely be attributed to the makings of a good coach. After the first few games, Thunder coach Scott Brooks knew some game plan alterations would have to be made. As a result, he took a different route and altered rotations. This proved a success for the Thunder as Durant scored 33-points in the Game 7 win. Westbrook, aside from taking his normal exorbitant amount of shots, held his own managing a triple-double.

The Grizzlies were not all thumbs however. Credit must be given where credit is due. Conley and Marc Gasol produced a valiant effort to secure their spot in the next round. Marc Gasol put up 24- points with his show-stopping moves in the paint and was essential in the Grizzlies' previous wins against the Thunder. Conley added 20 points and a lot of heart to the game and throughout the series. I guess it just came down to the luck of the draw and who wanted it more out of these two dynamic teams.

Regardless, with close games and many wondering how this series would play out, I am certainly geared up to witness the Thunder's next opponent. Will Chris Paul and the Clippers, a proven dominant, immoveable force be able to topple Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder? Only time will tell.

We want to know what YOU think! Take our poll below. Who you got?
