In infrastructure and world development news, Eissmann Automotive will expand its Pell City site in Alabama by adding a 130,000-square-foot building and other improvements as part of a $14.5 million investment. The changes are expected to spark the hiring of 200 additional employees.
Eissmann Automotive is the largest industrial employer in St. Clair County and currently has 13 locations on three continents. The German automotive supplier specializes in car interiors, built-to-print trim components, shifter modules and other parts for German and Domestic auto makers such as Mercedes, Audi, Jeep, Tesla, Porsche and Volkswagen.
Although the unemployment rate is at a record low throughout the nation, there may still be job hunters in search of work. If you’re interested in retail, Kohl’s just announced they are planning to hire 69,000 people as they prepare for the holidays. Check out the jobs they have to offer.
Target is also seeking employees for the same purpose, pledging to hire 70,000 seasonal workers throughout the country. View available Target jobs here.
The clothing chain Macy’s apparently has not been heavily impacted by several store closings recently. They’re joining the hiring bank and hosting a job fair on Friday, Sept. 30, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at all Macy’s locations nationwide. The store is expected to hire 83,000 workers during the holiday season. You can also search their available positions here.
