![]() As the Germanwings crach continues to call for speculation and sheer bewilderment, the rabbit hole gets even deeper with documents confiscated from Andreas Lubitz’s home. Officials found notes detailing medical leave recommendations from some type of doctor that actually covered the very day that the plane massacre occurred. The Dusseldorf prosecutor’s office attested to these findings today. Apparently, Lubitz had been visiting a doctor for treatment for a mental or physical illness for a long period of time and professional acquaintances/employers were not aware of the treatment. If it is uncovered that the airlines knew of an illness and still allowed Lubitz to fly the Germanwings plane that faithful day, there could be a lot of lawsuits and litigation in their future. Another interesting tidbit is that the notes of leave were located in a trash backset and were shredded, as if Lubitz wanted to destroy or hide the information. More details are forthcoming.
