Another plane crash has darkened skies this morning, as a flight from Spain to Germany is presumed to have plummeted to the ground, killing 148. There were 6 members of the flight crew on board and 142 passengers. The French president stated that no one is believed to have survived the crash near Digne-les-Bains in the Alpes de Haute Provence. Officials are also making the presumption of all lives being lost because of the strenuous terrain the plane would have collided with upon impact.

The group that created the plane prototype is called Lufthansa. They released a statement on Twitter, March 24th at 6:27 AM stating, “We do not yet know what has happened to flight 4U 9525. My deepest sympathy goes to the families and friends of our passengers and crew. If our fears are confirmed, this is a dark day for Lufthansa. We hope to find survivors.” The group seems to be a tad more hopeful than the prime minster or president of France.

According to CNN, the flailing plane descended at a startling speed, falling 14,000 feet within 6 minutes. The only positive to this story of terror may be that there wasn’t a large population of people where the plane crashed. This story is developing.
