What do pilots do when a passenger decides to storm the cockpit, yelling "jihad"? After the agglomeration of deaths, despair, and heartache that 9/11 caused, the airline promptly turns the plane around. This scenario sounds like a geriatric Jean-Claude Van Damme movie right? Well, it was a very authentic reality last night for United Airline voyagers.
On a flight from Washington to Denver Monday evening, a man became irate with crew members as the other 33 passengers on the flight looked on in awe. The odd behavior escalated and a few passengers jumped into action by restraining the indignant individual to the floor. The entire fiasco was caught on tape through a cell phone. Once the plane landed in Dulles, the man was transferred immediately to a hospital to undergo mental evaluations. What could have been an exciting sequel to “Snakes on a Plane” was actually a frightening perceptibility for the people who actually had to endure it.
