Are you ready to be taken for a watery loop? Inexplicably defying all constructional odds, the Sky Calibur is the first water slide with a vertical loop. The ride is 90 feet tall and will have thrill riders in New Jersey going 50 MPH through the curvy tubes. The company developing the ride is called Sky Turtle. Coincidentally, the Action Park that the ride will call home was responsible for 6 deaths after one of their rides in the 1980's went haywire. One individual went flailing from this water ride to their death. The main problem with vertical loops is gravity. Whatever goes up, must come down. Sky Calibur is still in its testing stages. Hopefully, it will be galvanizing, yet safe this go round. You can check out a demo of the ride below. Comments are closed.
